Learn to face paint like a professional on this evening face painting course.
This course is a 6 week evening course, in person in our brand new Shankill studio.
We will teach you everything you need to know to get into face painting.
You will learn how you can achieve the best artistry and skills during these workshops and with small class sizes and each tutor teaching their own techniques and strengths, you will really get a one on one experience.
We will be focusing on the following primary aspects of face painting.
They are fancy words for 'know what you're doing'. We want you to know EXACTLY what you're doing when you finish this course.
There are so many important components of face painting outside of actually painting the face, so we'll be going through a lot of extra theory also. It's really important for you to be able to know how to set yourself up when you arrive to face paint, what questions to ask clients beforehand, how to advertise your services, how to get face painting jobs, what to bring on a job, what to buy and what not to buy.
It's important for you to enjoy what you're doing, so we'll be encouraging you to play to your strengths and make the designs your own.
This course is suitable from complete beginners to intermediate students.
Class sizes are kept small to make sure everyone can work to their own ability level.
Whether you want to work as a face painter, upskill, try out a new hobby or just want to get out of the house!
We will provide products for the class, but you will need to practice in between so you will need to get your own products also.
You don't need to rush out and buy everything the first day though. It's actually easier to build your kit as you go along, rather than all in one go. That way you can figure out what techniques/colours/brands you prefer while you're in class. Most people buy a few bits as they go along each week, but there is no pressure to do that.
If you already have a kit, you should definitely bring it. That way you can see what you have already and what you might need to pick up. You are welcome to buy anything you need on the day from the shop. If you don't know what to buy, then please give us a shout or leave it up to the day.
