Disposable triangular latex sponges ideal for SFX makeup, greasepaint, cream makeup, clown white, liquid latex, fake blood and other messy makeup applications. Available in packs of 3 or 10.
These inexpensive wedge sponges are a useful addition to any makeup or SFX kit, particularly for applications where you don't want to use your more expensive makeup sponges. The triangular shape gives you flat surfaces, edges and corners for stippling, blending and applying product.
Not recommended for water-based face and body paints. Natural latex is water-resistant, so these sponges don't readily absorb water. This makes them a poor match for water-activated paints, which can sit on the surface of the sponge rather than loading and releasing properly. For water-based face paint, we'd recommend a non-latex face painting sponge instead.
Latex sponges are much better suited to greasepaint, cream makeup, clown white, SFX products, liquid latex and other oil-, cream- or latex-based applications. They're also particularly handy for messy jobs where an inexpensive sponge is exactly the right tool.
Made from natural rubber latex.
Natural latex comes from rubber tree sap and is biodegradable over time, although these sponges should be disposed of in general waste after use rather than placed in household compost or recycling.
Natural latex can take a long time to break down, so biodegradable doesn't mean it disappears quickly or has no environmental impact. We think it's useful to tell you what our products are made from so you can make your own informed choices.
Contains natural latex. Not suitable for anyone with a latex allergy.
