Dublin Body Paint are extremely excited to welcome John Davis aka the foam wizard for a 2 day foam creation workshop on 10th and 11th & 12th Feb.

This is a 2 day course but you can pick which days suit you best. John is a master at his craft. This is one not to miss!

€200 which includes all foam

Day 1

Will start with explanations of various techniques. Whilst this is going on you will also be producing a set piece to show you how these work in a practical way.

After lunch you will be starting your main individual piece with John’s help and guidance.

Day 2

Is an all day practical day continuing on with your individual project. Your project is YOUR choice be it armour, collar, fashion item or headdress. Whilst working John will be there for help and guidance as well as further explain tips and tricks of working with foam.

A bit about John:

John was born old, fat and grumpy and has managed to maintain this persona through hard work and dedication .

John first came into the world of Foaminess whilst making props for his bodyart and SFX work, when ill health forced him to give up this side of his work he found that other artists wanted him to make pieces for them and thus a new venture began, creating everything from headdresses and blanks to full suits of foam armour.

Having been making things for a number of years he was then asked if he would teach others and thus the birth of the 2 day foamy workshops began , and the resulting Foamettes have been released into the wild.

John prides himself on the aftercare of his Foamettes and is always available to them for help and further advice long after the completion of the workshops.

He tries to keep the workshops informative, and fully hands on working with each person to help them get the results they want and at the same time keeping it fun
