Have you ever wanted to learn the tricks of the trade and find out how to beat your own face into an unrecognisable goddess?
When the Lights Dim Low and the Blacklights Glow, The Neon Goddess Rises!
Nikkie Stones is a High Energy Drag Queen who’s quickly taking over the Irish and Scottish Scenes! After starting drag back in 2014, she has spent the last 5 years stamping her name into the world’s minds! She is the host of her own monthly show BLACKLIGHT, and is regularly travelling over to perform in Glasgow and Dundee.
Over the last 5 years in drag, Nikkie has gained a lot of experience with creating her signature makeup look, and after completing her ITEC Diploma in Fashion, Theatre and Media Makeup last year, and working for Dublin Body Paint HQ the last year, we couldn’t think of anyone better to teach our annual Drag Workshop!
Date: 23rd October 2019
Cost : €60
Venue: Dublin Body Paint, 68 Dame Street,
Bring your makeup kit and brushes. Literally anything and everything works for Drag… but if you’re unsure, here’s a list of some things Nikkie would Recommend! Most of these are available in Penneys, because we love a Queen on a Budget!
Glue Stick (Tesco GoCreate is the best!)
Three shades of Foundation (one for your skin tone, one lighter and one darker) – Preferably in Stick form!
Some Eyeshadows (Keep them Matte!)
Eyeliner (Gel is best!)
Lipstick (Preferably Liquid and Matte)
Eyelashes (the bigger the better!)
Brushes and Beauty Sponges
For those of you that already have a makeup kit or who have a pretty good grasp on what you’re doing, here are some more advanced tools to bring that you may not already own:
Kryolan TV paint sticks (the W shades are the best for drag)
A setting spray
Lastly, if you want to get the full fantasy (and you know you want to!), bring along some of these! (Once again, most are available in Penneys!)
